Well I love Kraftin Kimmie, so when she offered us another chance to guest design I totally signed up. Unfortunately life got bananas, so I didn't get time to participate in the actual blog hop. Here are the 2 fun cards I made with the kids, and the fantastic new Christmas stamp sets!
This first one is using the stamp set "Shake It Up" by Becky Pearce. I really wanted to highlight the snow globe aspect, so I used Liquid Glass over top to make it look 3d. I made the mistake of trying to push it around a little though, so it did run a bit.
The 2nd set is "Santa Paws" by Emilie Goulet. I played with some glitter ritz and some Cricut cuts on this one. Sookwang Tape is such a versatile tool to have!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello All,
It is a wet and windy day here in NS, and I have been busy packing to go away, trying to feel better and to get lots of crafty things ready for the crazy busy holiday season. Last year I sent out about 65 cards, gave out another 20 and taught 2 classes. Odds are it will be about the same this year, so time to stock up, but that doesn't mean I can't make some blog worthy!
Today I thought I would share a clean and simple card I made at my National Stamping Day Crop as a make and take. It features the September Stamp of the Month from Close to My Heart, as well as some of our the amazing new ribbon that matches our "Fundamentals". Isn't it amazing what you can do with just some stamps?!? I am thankful for that and my wonderful hubby very often.

Kraftin Kimmie Release Blog Hop
Today is Day THREE of the June Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! I'm thrilled to be a Krafty Guest and join in the release fun! We are previewing a fabulous new stamp set by artist Annie Rodrigue called FLOATIN' FIONA! It's such a fun image and the set also comes with five sassy sentiments!! This set plus all the other new sets being previewed this week will be released on Saturday night!!
I am super excited to be part of the release day, and the sneak peak package that Kimmie put together had all sorts of adorable things in it. Super cute paper pack, enamel dots, sequins, flowers, twine and some cute buttons! I tried to use it all between my two cards. One can be seen over the Kraftin Kimmie Blog and here is the other one. My Copic skills are improving for skin, but still iffy for hair as you can see!
Be sure to check out all the other wonderful creations along this hop

Spring?!?
Well I know it is February, but it was 7 degrees Celsius here today... it is supposed to get really cold again, but we have almost NO snow left which is an amazing improvement from last year. I have been really lazy in terms of crafting lately and have gotten a total of ZERO layouts done, I did host a fundraising card class in support of Operation Smile on the weekend and was showing off some of the fantastic new papers, stamps and their matching Thinlets and was asked to put together a class. So I did! These cards all use the Penelope Paper pack, matching washi, Spring Critters Stamp set and matching Thin Cuts. I am really impressed that the thin cuts come not only in their own little envelope but are also on a magnetic backing!
I stamped in Archival Black on watercolour paper, and then used the watercolour paints, blend-able watercolour pencils and some ink to colour them up. Once coloured I cut them out and started to play. Since Easter is coming I thought that there should be a hint of it in the set, so I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. We are going to make 8 cards (2 of each) for $16.
The only thing I wish was that I could have captioned the chick with "Getting Chicky With It" but not everyone has my weird sense of humour...

OMG Dartmouth Ferry Stamps!!!
Well I am a Dartmouth, NS girl born and raised. I may have gone off to NB for a few years, but the Halifax Harbour is in my heart! That is why I was so unreasonably excited when I saw this Ferry Stamp set from Briana Corr Scott at one of the Etsy Shows in the summer. I regretted not buying it on the spot for MONTHS and then went to hunt one down, but I was told in no uncertain terms by one of the besties (and my partner in craft shows) that I was NOT allowed to buy anything for myself until after Christmas. Well Hubby done good and the stamp set was in my stocking!! I finally got it all inky and made a card for my brother in law's birthday. It uses Close to My Heart Paper and inks, a few touches from the My Anchor Stamp set and I have no idea the maker of the amazing octopus die (sorry). Hopefully next year Briana will have a Tufts Cove stamp to go in the background!

February there is a special stamp available from Close to My Heart in support of Operation Smile (which fixes cleft Palates and hair lips in developing countries). I am going to do a card class using this set with a donation to Operation Smile for each workshop.
I am going to do 8 cards for $20 (I will donate $5 to Operation smile from this) OR you can do the class for FREE if you purchase the “Share the Love” Stamp Set. (works out to be 26.56 all in). I also have a D-Sized Stamp to draw for at the event. If you just like the stamp, you can check it out here
